Environment
Mining inevitably impacts nature, but our clear goal is to minimize environmental burdens.
Steinsvik Olivine AS operates in line with the Norwegian Mining Act and license conditions, systematically working to reduce emissions to air and water.
Continuous improvements are made for the benefit of local communities, nature, and the wider environment.
How we ensure ethical and sustainable cooperation

Development
Future applications of olivine are being actively researched, particularly in environmental and green technologies, such as:
CO₂ capture and storage
Magnesium phosphate cement (MPC)
Pozzolanic materials for the cement industry
Silicon and magnesium metal production
As part of our future strategy, we plan to expand our product portfolio.
The ambition is to supply these products directly from our Steinsvik facility as part of our role in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and adapting to market needs.
